I started Jon’s Taxi Cornwall in July 2024 after gaining valuable experience with a well-known local taxi company. My aim was to create a service that offers something more personal, while maintaining a high level of professionalism - a taxi service where customers genuinely come first.
When you go on holiday, the taxi is often the very first part of the journey, and I believe it should set the tone for everything that follows. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case in Cornwall - which is exactly why I’m committed to providing a better experience for my customers.

I'm based in St Austell but I cover all areas including Charlestown, St Blazey, Par, Carlyon Bay, Gorran Haven,MevaGissey, Pentween,St Mawes and all other villages. Jon is a great driver: we gave him a list of all the trips we needed to make over the course of a few days (back and forth to the station, days trips, out to restaurants) and we could trust him to meet us on time as promised. Warm and friendly service. More than happy to recommend.

We used Jon's Taxi on 11 April to get from St Austell station to the start of a walk. Clean, comfortable car, great journey, fair price and really nice guy. Rather than rely on buses (which had already let us down once) we called him again at the end of the walk and he was ready and waiting in 5 minutes. Great service.

I recommend Jon, he was very prompt and friendly. It can often be hard to get through to local taxi firms on the phone. It’s also hard to find availability last minute. Jon however answered straight away and was available within half an hour, 5 ⭐️ service.
